History of SSP’s

School Sports Partnerships have been established since 2003 in Tameside. The SSP is a network of teachers and schools who are all working towards the common goals of tackling inequalities, creating opportunity, improving children’s physical literacy & promoting high quality PE.

PE & Sport

School Sport Partnerships

Tameside School Sports Partnership aims to encourage all schools to deliver 2 hours of high quality and meaningful PE, create sporting opportunities and inspire pupils to love physical activity for life.

The government funded School Games Organisers in 2013 and also funded the PE Premium for primary schools. This contributes to the wider remit of the SSP.
